Biodiversity Certification Assessment Report (BCAR)

Googong Township Pty Ltd (GTPL) has commenced detailed planning of the remaining three neighbourhoods in Googong.

As part of this process, and in line with its obligations to the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, GTPL has prepared a draft Biodiversity Certification Assessment Report (BCAR) which assesses the impact of the development on the biodiversity values of the land. GTPL is currently seeking comments from the community on the draft BCAR. A report on the community consultation and feedback process will be included in the final BCAR submitted to the NSW Minister for the Environment for approval.

  • To download a copy of the draft Biodiversity Certification Assessment Report (BCAR), click here. Or you can collect a copy from our Googong Sales Office open 10am-5pm Saturday to Wednesday (except some public holidays) on 12 Courtney Street Googong.
  • To provide comments or feedback to the draft Biodiversity Certification Assessment Report (BCAR), please email enquiries@googong.net before 5pm on 23 April 2021.

In mid-2021, GTPL will be submitting a Development Application (DA) outlining the details of the proposed subdivision of these remaining three neighbourhoods to Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council (QPRC). GTPL and QPRC will again seek feedback from the community as part of the DA process, closer to that time.
