GOOGONG HOSTS CYCLING AUSTRALIA’S NATIONAL ROAD SERIES, FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBER

The 2016 Subaru National Road Series National Capital Tour kicks off this Friday with a Time Trial leg at Googong.

The grueling 7.4km short course will commence at 10am on Googng Road (adjacent to the northern end of Beltana Park). Riders will travel along Googong Road and dropping down 125m to the Googong Dam wall, before turning around and climbing back up to the start.

Spectators are welcome to view the race anywhere along Googong Dam Road. However, you should be advised that road closures will be in place during the day. Please follow the advice of race organisers at all times.

WHAT:
Cycling Australia’s 2016 Subaru National Road Series National Capital Tour Time Trial.

WHERE:
The start and finish of the race is on Googong Road approx 500m north of the Beltana Avenue intersection, and opposite the northern end of Beltana Park.

WHEN:
Friday 16 September 2016.
Women’s race commences at 10am. Men’s race commences 12 noon. Event concludes approx 3.00pm.

This is a significant and nationally televised event and we are delighted to be selected as a showcase venue, and encourage you to come along and support some of Australia’s best road cyclists.

Riders will descend 125m turning at the Googong Dam carpark and ride back up to the start, representing a challenging and unconventional short course Time Trial.
