Welcome to Googong

This website describes the vision for the proposed new township at Googong, which will be located within the Monaro landscape a short distance south of Queanbeyan in NSW. The emerging vision for this essentially self-contained new town is being developed by Canberra Investment Corporation Limited (CIC) with assistance from a team of leading consultants as well as input from many individuals and organisations in the Queanbeyan area.

The proposed new town will be at the cutting edge of environmental and social sustainability, incorporating a host of major initiatives ranging from safe, walkable neighbourhoods to water savings that will reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to traditional developments.
